Scavenger hunt in the mysterious world of Carnival Masks
TOUR DESCRIPTION
This engaging scavenger hunt is a walking tour that can take place in different sestieri (areas) of Venice and it is suitable either for first-time visitors or for those who want to go deeper and learn more.
However, it is a very flexible format, which can be adapted to different itineraries in the city and is very engaging for children as the main theme is the mysterious world of masks.
As you can see from the maps here below, you can choose an itinerary starting from St Mark’s Square to see the most famous monuments, but you can also decide to stay off the beaten tracks, in the lovely districts of Dorsoduro or San Polo: if you come to Venice on a one-day trip, we can also start from Piazzale Roma or from the train station.
This scavenger hunt is an opportunity for the whole family to learn about Carnival and the world of masks, but also about theatre and the Commedia dell’Arte, a particular way to represent the world which, in the 18th century, was enhanced by the famous Venetian playwright Carlo Goldoni.
