TOUR DESCRIPTION
The itinerary of this orientation tour suitable for kids, teens and grown-ups is a combination of the main sights in St Mark’s Square (including St Mark’s Basilica inside) and some quiet backstreets in the residential neighbourhood off the beaten tracks.
We’ll walk throughout the lovely districts Cannaregio and Castello, where many Venetians still have their homes; we’ll see the charming Campo San Giovanni e Paolo, we’ll walk along narrow streets (calli) and picturesque little squares (campo) to explore the “hidden Venice”, we’ll pass in front of Marco Polo’s House and finally reach the famous Rialto Bridge over the Grand Canal.
We’ll talk about the glorious past of the Serenissima Repubblica but also about nowadays real life and all your questions will be welcomed!
At the end of the tour, if you want to get in touch with a more flavorsome side of Venice, I may suggest you an Ostaria, a smart restaurant where the locals go or we could add an extra hour to do a bacaro tour!
